Elen Elin Melkonian

Elen Elin Melkonian serves as Culture Program Lead for the USC Culture Journey. In her current role, she leads events and programming to facilitate engagement opportunities for USC students, staff and faculty to activate the Unifying Values and participate in the Culture Journey. Prior to joining the Culture Journey team, Elen worked at USC Gould School of Law and USC Price School of Public Policy. Throughout her seven years of employment at USC, she served as a volunteer for culture-related initiatives. She is driven in this work by her passion for creating safe spaces for students, staff and faculty where they are encouraged to embrace their whole selves and feel a sense of belonging. Throughout her career, she has dedicated her efforts and energy into ensuring first-gen students of color have a substantial voice and proper representation both inside and outside of the classroom.

Elen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from CSUN, and a Master of Education in Enrollment Management and Policy from USC Rossier School of Education. She is a Certified Change Management Professional from Acuity Institute and is in the process of completing a Certificate of Organizational Culture Leadership.

Fun fact about Elen: She loves to host board game nights with friends.
