Yabsera Benyam

Yabsera Benyam is a progressive degree student at the University of Southern California (USC), currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics at the USC Marshall School of Business. She previously earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, with a minor in Data Science.

As part of the Culture Team, Yabsera supports visual storytelling and digital content development. She is currently focused on redesigning Culture Journey materials and supporting web updates, layout optimization, and accessibility improvements.

Yabsera’s skill set spans data analysis, communication strategy, and design. She is proficient in tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, Tableau, and WordPress, and enjoys applying both creative and analytical approaches to her work. Outside of USC, she has held roles in tech, research, and government sectors—where she worked on strategic marketing, event planning, and AI-focused product launches.

Fun fact about Yabi: She’s a big fan of boardgames and has a soft spot for reading books.
